Everything You Need Before You Apply
Valid Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Mauritius. All current and previous passports are required. If any passport is lost, an FIR copy must be provided.

A 6-month bank statement with bank stamp and signature, along with an account maintenance letter signed and stamped by the bank.
Travel Health Requirements
Polio vaccination card copy is mandatory.
Travel & Accommodation
Travel insurance, hotel booking, travel plan, and flight reservation (these will be provided).
Visa Application Form

Do I need a confirmed hotel booking in advance or can I show an invitation letter from a host in Mauritius?
Both options are acceptable. You can provide a confirmed hotel reservation or an invitation letter with proof of your host’s residence in Mauritius.
Is travel insurance mandatory for a Mauritius visit visa, and what coverage should it ideally include?
Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. It should cover medical expenses, emergencies, and repatriation throughout your stay in Mauritius.
Can a single-entry Mauritius visa be converted into a multiple-entry visa once I arrive?
No, you cannot change your visa type after arrival. If you plan multiple visits, you must apply for a multiple-entry visa before traveling.
Are there any specific vaccination requirements, apart from the general polio card, for travelers from Pakistan?
Apart from the polio vaccination certificate, Mauritius may require a Yellow Fever certificate if you’ve recently visited a Yellow Fever–endemic country.
If I am self-employed, what additional financial documents can I provide in place of a company NTN or chamber certificate?
You can submit business bank statements, tax returns, or proof of sole proprietorship. Property documents may also strengthen your application.
Does Mauritius immigration require proof of return ticket at the time of entry, even if the visa is already approved?
Yes, presenting a confirmed return or onward ticket at immigration is mandatory to prove your intent to leave Mauritius after your stay.
